ctn_logoThe Catholic Telemedia Network (CTN) has been serving the educational and spiritual needs of the children in the diocesan schools of Brooklyn and Queens for over 50 years.

CTN’s core mission is to provide quality instructional media resources aligned to the New York State Learning Standards at no cost to schools. Our initiatives fall into three main categories. First, providing digital content for Catholic school classrooms in Brooklyn and Queens. Second, offering professional development for teachers. Third, bringing technology in the form of LTE broadband connectivity, hardware and networking to schools. Our biggest initiative continues to be the distribution of Sprint-enabled iPads to students and teachers.

Current content initiatives include Learn360, a learning library of more than 70,000 videos, which includes Catholic content; EducationCity, a leading provider of digital instruction for Pre-K to 6th grades; and Mathletics, an adaptive online math program that uses a gaming format that ensures student engagement.

Professional development for teachers includes one-on-one coaching and faculty workshops on the best practices of technology integration, as well as the implementation of the DTI (Diocesan Technology Institute).

CTN services assist teachers in meeting national technology standards established by the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) and the AdvancED Accreditation Standards, enabling students to collaborate with the world around them.
