27th Annual Bishop’s Golf Classic

Play Will Continue August 22!

We know that participation in the Bishop’s Golf Classic is motivated by a commitment to support our Bishop, our honorees, and this year’s charity, Cristo Rey Brooklyn High School. But we also pride ourselves on providing an outstanding event that everyone enjoys.

Since this year’s outing on July 21 was cut short by severe storms, we would like to invite our players and sponsors back to North Hills Country Club on August 22. The day will include a 9-hole tournament followed by an afternoon “Sea and Land Buffet” and an awards ceremony where we will honor Bishop Emeritus Nicholas DiMarzio and Robert Catell for their longtime commitment to and support of Cristo Rey.

Schedule

9:00 a.m. – Golfer registration & breakfast
10:30 a.m. – Shotgun start
1:15 p.m. – Dinner registration opens
2:00 p.m. – Buffet opens
3:00 p.m. – Awards program begins
4:15 p.m. – Raffles and prize drawings
4:30 p.m. – Formal program ends

We hope that everyone who originally attended the Bishop’s Golf Classic will be able to join us to finish what we started and show support for our honorees and Cristo Rey.

There is no additional charge for this event, but we do ask players, sponsors, and dinner guests to RSVP to golfclassic@desalesmedia.org or 718-501-3135 no later than August 15 to confirm their attendance.

Thank you all for your ongoing generous support that is so vital to our Diocese.

Sincerely,
Bishop’s Golf Classic Committee & Advisory Board
