Aid to the Church in Need was the big winner at the annual Bishop DiMarzio Golf Classic. George Marlin, chairman of the board for Aid to the Church in Need, was honored as the Man of the Year and accepted a check for $100,000 from Msgr. Kieran Harrington, president of DeSales; Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio; and Art Dignam, CEO of DeSales.
We owe a huge thanks to our sponsors and players for making this generous donation possible, and we hope to see you all again next year!
Msgr. Harrington and Dignam presented Father Antoine Rizk with the Pastor of the Year Award. He leads the congregation at Virgin Mary Melkite Catholic Church, Park Slope, which served as the major sponsor of the outing.
Actor Dan Roebuck, who served as emcee, presented the first place award to two members of the MC Electric foursome, which included Mark Comerford, Shay Furlong, Fergue O’Neil and Ray Leyden.
