The generous contributions of our golfers and sponsors helped us achieve our $100,000 donation to support an extraordinary mission in the Diocese of Brooklyn. This year we supported the Sister Servants of the Lord and The Virgin of Mantará. This contribution will assist in maintaining the Sisters’ retreat center, allowing them to continue working in the local community making vestments, rosaries and prayer cards. The Sister Servants take a vow of poverty and this donation will provide the necessary support to keep this mission alive for future generations in Brooklyn and Queens.
We invite you to learn more about the Sisters and to watch a special episode of City of Churches and other short features that explore the beautiful architecture of the monastery and the good works of the Sisters. These films provide a rare glimpse into their monastic lives and their digital prayer ministry for the Diocese of Brooklyn — Pray for me/Reza por mí – An Online Prayer Community.
