DeSales Media Group is the communications and technology arm of the Diocese of Brooklyn. Launched in 2011, it is the first such entity formed by a diocese in the U.S.
Named for St. Francis de Sales, the patron saint of writers and journalists, DeSales delivers Catholic news, information, entertainment and religious programming across all media.
Our weekly Catholic newspaper, The Tablet, covers local and international news from a Catholic point of view and has been serving the people of Brooklyn and Queens since 1908. With thetablet.org, we transcend our borders and serve the greater Catholic populace.
Our monthly newspaper, Nuestra Voz, and its website, nuestra-voz.org, provide news and information for the Spanish-speaking population of Brooklyn and Queens.
Our cable channel, NET TV, broadcasts original programming, including Currents, our flagship nightly news show, and several programs in Spanish. NET TV is available in the New York area on Cablevision (30) Time Warner Cable (97) and Verizon Fios (48).
The Catholic Telemedia Network (CTN) has been serving the educational and spiritual needs of the children in our diocesan schools for over 50 years. CTN’s modern mission includes producing online educational content for our elementary schools; bringing hardware, software and networking capabilities into our schools; and training our educators on how to best use this new technology.
DeSales Media designed and operates websites for the Diocese of Brooklyn, Futures in Education, Annual Catholic Appeal, Catholic Migration Services, Meet Me in Church, Catherine Laboure School and The Mount Carmel Early Childhood Center. In addition, DeSales Media developed and launched the fast-growing Parish Network and Academy Network of sites in 2015.
DeSales Media also provides public relations, advertising, design, grant-funding and lobbying for several diocesan agencies. Our team offers in-depth experience in a variety of media fields including television production, documentary filmmaking, web development, graphic design, information technology, social media and more.
We aim to inform, entertain and inspire our readers and viewers around the world.
