Today, New Evangelization Television (NET TV), announced its special programming for the Christmas Season.

On Saturday, December 20th, A Christmas Variety Special will bring all the fun and entertainment of the season in one hour of holiday cheer. Premiering at 8 p.m, with encores throughout the week, the program will be hosted by actor Anthony Mangano, from the award winning series City of Churches, and co-hosted by comedian Joe Manno, from CBS-TV’s Emmy Award winning Afternoon Special: All In One. A Christmas Variety Special is a family oriented program that features a unique concept in holiday entertainment that is rarely seen on television anymore. Not only does it include popular holiday tunes and humorous comedy sketches, but also traditional religious themes and carols. Guest stars include Lenny Venito from ABC-TV’s hit show The Neighbors, Lou Martini Jr. from HBO’s Boardwalk Empire, Jimmy Palumbo from HBO’s The Sopranos, Joe D’Onofrio from the TBS sitcom Are We There Yet?, Mario Bosco from ABC-TV’s Jimmy Kimmel Live, plus a special appearance by Santa Claus.

On Christmas Eve, NET TV’s cooking show Breaking Bread will feature a special episode as host Monsignor Jamie Gigantiello, the Vicar for Development for the Diocese of Brooklyn and the Administrator of St. Bernard Parish in Mill Basin, cooks and feeds people in need. The episode takes place at CHIPS (Park Slope Christian Help), a community of Brooklyn neighbors, volunteers, and friends who share a common spiritual vision in aiding those in need. Join Monsignor Jamie on December 24th at 8 a.m., 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. in a presentation that unwraps the meaning behind the season.

Also on December 24th, NET TV will present A Christmas Concert With Daniel Rodriguez. America’s beloved tenor, recording artist, and former NYPD police officer, also known as “the singing cop” for his inspirational and healing music in the aftermath of 9/11, will perform selections from his new CD “A Glorious Christmas,” his very first Christmas album. The performance was recorded live on the front steps of the beautifully restored Holy Name of Jesus Church in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn, and will premiere on Christmas Eve at 7:30 p.m.
