Responsibilities:

  • Sell DeSales Media’s integrated product line, including print, TV and digital services
  • Quickly gain a complete understanding of the value, features and benefits of DeSales’ media offerings
  • Develop prospect lists and action plans for assigned category and market
  • Cold call prospective clients in various industries that will directly benefit from advertising with the company
  • Perform thorough client/prospect needs analysis and due diligence; provide solutions to meet goals of client and DeSales
  • Prepare sales presentations, sales collaterals and marketing materials quarterly in advance of upfront selling campaigns
  • Negotiate, close and execute business
  • Capitalize on time and territory management and utilize all means available (e.g. telephone calls, emails, letters, trade events, etc.) to build relationships and media revenue; meet agreed-upon sales goals
  • Manage ongoing relationships with advertisers providing data-driven support (especially on the digital side)
  • Follow all reporting guidelines (One Source, CRM…) and communicate call activities and field information to management quickly
  • Work with inter-departmental colleagues and aligned vendors to meet both corporate and client objectives

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated track record of success in media sales
  • Effectively forecast and meet quarterly quota assignments
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills
  • Creative, goal-oriented, self-starter, motivated
  • Ability to take a consultative sales approach to problem solving, account development and cross-selling techniques
  • Strong computer skills in Excel, MS Word and Power Point
  • Bachelors Degree in related field of study
